Since the beginning of 2024, the chairmanship of the BRICS passed to the Russian Federation.
Since the beginning of 2024, the chairmanship of the BRICS passed to the Russian Federation. This year, the BRICS membership will expand to include Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. Integration of new participants into the existing activities of the association is an important task. It will be the focus of attention of the 13th BRICS Trade Union Forum scheduled for September 7-8, 2024 in Sochi. The Forum is included in the programme of the official events under the Russian presidency in BRICS.
