Sixth meeting of BRICS Ministers of labour and employment
The next BRICS labour and employment ministers' meeting (LEMM) in 2020 will be held through videoconference. This is stated in a letter from the Minister of labour and social protection of the Russian Federation Mr. Anton Kotyakov to the FNPR president Mr. Mikhail Shmakov. The Minister invites trade unions to take part in the meeting and give a welcome speech.
LEMM will focus on three key topics:
- approaches to fostering a safe work culture in BRICS countries;
- reducing poverty through social and economic transformation;
- the future of work in digital economy.
BRICS Ministers of labour and employment also look forward to the participation of representatives of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the International Labour Organisation and the International Social Security Association.
