For the first time in its history, Russian trade unions will celebrate May Day, the Day of international solidarity of workers, in the form of an interactive campaign under the general slogan "Solidarity is stronger than infection!" Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, rallies and meetings putting forward demands and adopting appeals are only possible at operating enterprises.
On May Day at 10 a.m. Moscow time there will be an "on-line trade union roll call" with the participation of all industrial and territorial organisations affiliated with the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia, located in ten time zones from Chukotka on the Bering strait to Kaliningrad on the Baltic Sea.
