Confederation of Iranian Workers Representatives
The Confederation of Iranian Workers Representatives (CIWR) is one of the main trade unions that has been involved in the ILO tripartite processes since 2008; it plans to work with the governmental bodies of Iran and other entities to improve the labor standards in Iran.
The activities of the CIWR started in 2005 when the first guild cores of workers representatives were formed at workplace level. The Confederation consists of the provincial assemblies. At present, the provincial assemblies of workers representatives have been formed in 27 provinces.
